Why Hydro-Jetting is Important
What’s That Smell?
Let’s say for a second that you work in the restaurant business. As you walk through the kitchen your face starts to scrunch up and you bring your hand to your nose because it smells something fierce in there. You’re also not just some employee, you actually own this place. After asking around you come to find out that your grease trap is caked with old grease. So what do you do? You call Deer Valley Plumbing and get us to hydro-jet your grease trap.
Wait. What is Hydro-Jetting?
Hydro-jetting is a method used by professional plumbing contractors, like us, to clean clogged or slow sewage lines as well as grease traps. A blast of water at high pressure is sent into the lines that will usually remove blockages and build up. Deer Valley Plumbing’s hydro-jetting technology can generate extreme pressure of up to 4000 psi to get those pipes squeaky clean. This particular hydro-jetter can shoot 15 to 18 gallons of water every minute for up to 2500 feet and comes with its own water tank to clean away years of build up!
There are three main areas that typically need hydro-jetting services. Those areas are drain lines, water lines, and grease traps.
Over the years your drain lines are likely to have accumulated a bit of grease, oils, scale, and other build ups that may cause them to function poorly. With Deer Valley Plumbing you will get a huge blast of water that will send that build up flying. You drain lines will be clean and work at optimal function. By hydro-jetting your drain lines regularly you can also prevent costly line repairs because of broken or clogged pipes.
In water lines it is rust or sediment that stops up these pipes. If your building has older pipes instead of the new copper lines, then a hydro-jetting session with us will get them back to their old selves. It will be like they are brand new. You won’t even have to use any sort of harsh chemicals. It is a fast, cost effective, and environmentally friendly way to clean your water lines!
If you’re not sure what a grease trap is, it is that small device located under the sink, above the ground, collecting grease and other solids that may gown the drains. Grease traps can hold anywhere from 10 to 500 gallons. If they overflow it creates a bad stench that fills the kitchen. Hydro-jetting is a great way to service your grease trap and rid your kitchen of bad smells.
